Love and a Little Craziness

Out with the old and in with the new

Another year has come and gone.  I'm not going to lie, 2016 was a rough year.

In January, I was forced to "retire" from my job that I had for 22 years.  I didn't want to move to Dallas, TX... silly me.  I loved that place (well I loved it before it was bought out).  I miss my friends  family so much.  It was so hard saying goodbye.

In February (3 weeks after I left the other job) I started a new job at a lawyers office.  It was definitely different from what I was used to.  The office is very, very, very quiet.  No one likes to talk.  I love to talk.

First foster babies - Hope and Buster.  Sad to see them go.
In March, Maddie started her life after gymnastics... cheer.  She had her first cheer competition.  She loved, loved it.  Sophie played softball again.  She loved, loved it as well.

1st softball game
In April we welcomed our new foster baby Marley.  She quickly became our 5th baby.  She is so much fun to have around.  She loves to play.  She gets along with the other dogs except for Alice.  She drives the cats crazy, but they tolerate her.

In May it rained like crazy and then it seemed to never rain again until November.

Maddie always tumbling.
In June we took a day trip to Tybee Island and had a blast.  It was fun just to get away for the day.

Selfies at the beach.

July saw a busy month.  We went to a Braves game, the girls went to camps, and started 7th grade.  I started a new job at a school in the county.  I love, love, love it.  The kids drive me crazy some days, but I love them.

August - September saw us going to lots of football games and cheer competitions.  Maddie loved the competitions, but not the football games as much.  She didn't think they were as exciting.  The team did awesome.  They lost 1 game during the season and won the championship in the last few seconds.

October was Halloween fun.

November- December was the same as every month.

I'm not sure what 2017 holds for us.  Hopefully it will be a great year.  I know for Maddie she will be getting her braces off.  Hopefully Sophie won't be too far behind.  I know we have trips planned to Six Flags, New Kids on the Block concert and just various different things.

Instead of making resolutions, here are my goals for 2017.

1 - Spend more time with God.  I honestly don't do that.  I need to spend more time praying and growing more in my faith.
2 - More date nights with the hubby.  We don't do enough together as a couple and I want to change that.  The girls are older and it's time we do more stuff together.
3 - Lose weight - well of course this one has to be on here.  It's on everyone's list.
4 - Start my photography business.  I've been thinking long and hard about it.  2017 is going to be the year.

Happy New Year everyone!  May you have a wonderful, blessed 2017.  Good riddance 2016!!
