Beach day

I came home Friday night and told AJ I had a crazy idea.  I wanted to have a beach day on Saturday.  We got up early and drove down to Tybee Island Saturday morning.  It was exactly what we needed.  We didn't stay long, but we all had a great day.  I'm happy we were able to do it.

Savannah

Maddie had another meet this weekend and it was in Savannah. We always have a good time. We make it a girls trip with my aunt and the girls love it. This year we went to Paula Deen's again, Juliette Low's house and climbed up the Tybee Island lighthouse.. all 178 steps. Can't wait until next year.

Blast from the past

I found this picture of Maddie from her very first beach trip back in 2006.  She looked so little.

Here is Sophie's first trip from the beach back in 2008.  She looked so little as well.  Man time sure does fly.

Went to a movie on the lawn, but didn't stay. It was hot.

Boogie boards were the best $6 I spent the whole trip.

Taught her the backstroke and she had it on her own within minutes

She loved flipping. Normally I would be in the pool to make sure she didn't hit her head, but she was jumping far enough.

Of course handstands on the beach were required.

I failed to upload more pictures from our beach trip.  We had a great time.  We just stayed on the beach or at the pool.
