Horse Camp

Sophie is at overnight horse camp all this week.  She looks like she is having an awesome time.  She was nervous to go at first, but I think she's enjoying it.  They had a full day today it looks like.

Sophie has been going to a new barn to ride.  They do barrel racing instead of English.  Sophie says she enjoys it.  She looks pretty good in the saddle.

UGA Equestrian Meet

Today I took Sophie and her BFF, Kayla to the UGA Equestrian meet.  I enjoyed it.  They thought it was a little boring.  They probably both would have rather been riding then sitting there.

Sophie is still enjoying riding.  She has started cantering.  She looked so good up on her horse yesterday.  I was proud of her when a sudden thunder cloud came and Shawnee kind of bucked a little, Sophie held on and didn't freak out.  We were going back to the barn and she was walking Shawnee and her coach ran over a stick with the golf cart.  It freaked Shawnee out, but Sophie held on to the reigns.  Her coach said that 90% of her kids would have dropped the them, but she held on.  I am so glad we found something that she truly seems to love.

Goings On

This past weekend Maddie had a meet in Gulf Shores. You can check out her video here. Here's a picture of her and her BFF at the beach.  They enjoyed being at the beach more than the meet :).

Here is Sophie prior to her horse back riding lesson yesterday.  She said she had a good time and they got to trot yesterday.  I love her snazzy paddock boots.
