Ice Skating

On 12/27, a friend and I were messaging back and forth. She was talking about how she wanted to go somewhere and her daughter wanted to go shopping, but she didn't want to do that. While we were on the computer, I looked up our local ice rink to see what was going on that day. It said Honey Boo Boo from 3-6. So I called the rink and apparently they were going to be there filming and the rink was still going to be opening. So I asked my friend if she and the kids wanted to go skating (Maddie was at her house and Sophie was home). They are big fans of Honey. When we got there we had to wait for a few minutes because the rink was full. That was okay because we were positioned right by the family. Maddie, Sophie and their friends were so excited. Maddie kept waving trying to get her attention. Well after a few minutes, they went out and skated and then we finally skate. For Maddie and Sophie's first time, they did awesome. They were like little naturals out there. After a little while we coaxed Maddie and her friend to go over and ask HBB if she wanted to skate with them. She did and they all skated for about 1 or so together. They were all so cute. The producers then came over to my friend and me and asked if they could film the girls skating with her. Of course they could :). They will hopefully be on the Christmas episode airing in February. I just have to say that I know some people are not fans of the show, but we love it. The family just seems so real. They were that way at the ice rink. Her mama stood there and talked to us for a while and her sisters seemed very normal. Her dad was really quiet and seemed just to take it all in. They also have donated gifts and money that they have received from fans to other deserving families. I think that's awesome. Say what you want, but we enjoy it.
